A community
The Hobart Festival of Women Writers, founded in 2013, has created a vibrant community of published women writers. Seventy participating authors have participated in our readings and workshops alongside writers from New York State, and around the country.
The first weekend after Labor Day, we offer three days of workshops, including readings of poetry, non-fiction, memoir, fiction, and dramatic work. We host exhibitions of local artists and participating writers, and host panel discussions on a range of topics of interest to diverse communities of writers, readers, and lovers of language.
